I thought I would give this a try, the whole idea of blogging that is. Welcome to ThunderChrome!!! I had picked up this domain years ago when I was working in an I.T. help desk position. It was used for testing and learning. I always thought that I should do something cool with it. A blog is not really ‘cool’ but it’s what I got now.
If you are interested in purchasing this domain from me, I might entertain the idea for the right price. Feel free to reach out to me by the domains whois information.
My day job I work as an AWS DevOps engineer. Most of my day to day tasks are working with CloudFormation, cft-init, ssm documents, and turning code into infrastructure. Part of that includes trouble shooting why things are not working correctly, and investigating CloudWatch alarms.
The last 10 years I’ve been honing my skills as a Linux systems administrator. I have worked on both dedicated systems as well as various cloud based systems. In those years, I’ve really come to love the quirkiness and power of a well thought out and implemented cloud environment. It’s a completely new way of solving problems where servers are disposable and data is ephemeral, or at easily retrieved.
My intent for this site is to showcase some problems and how I was able to turn them into solutions. How I was able to rectify errors that I came across, and how to have fun working in linux and the cloud.
Thanks for reading and God bless!
